SRIMAD valmiki RAMAYAN

“SRIMAD RAMAYAN” THE GREAT EPIC IN THE antiquity OF INDIA, the word ramayan shed light on the journey of lord sri ram. SRIMAD RAMAYAN has been PRESENTED IN THIS WORLD IN VERY DIFFERENT WAYs AND STYLES. there are several typyes of ramayana

“RAMAYAN SAT KOTI APARA”

AMONG ALL THE RAMAYAN’S LIKE RAMCHARITRAMANAS, ANAND RAMAYAN, BHANU KAVI RAMAYAN TO NAME A FEW, SRIMAD VALMIKI RAMAYAN COMPOSED BY MAHARISHI VALMIKI, India's first poet is MOST bona fide. SRIMAD VALMIKI RAMAYAN IS FIRST IN THE ROW BECAUSE OF THE POETIC EFFICIENCY AND THE PHILOSOPHICAL PRESENTATION OF SRIPAD VALMIKI. SRIMAD VALMIKI RAMAYAN has been COMPOSED IN VeRSES KNOWN AS “SHLOKAS” IN SANSKRIT LANGUAGE, AND A COMPLEX 32-syllable METER CALLED “ANUSTUPA”. THE RAMAYAN CONSISTS OF 24,000 VERSES IN SEVEN BOOKS (ṇḍas) BALA KANDA, AYODHYA KANDA, ARANYA KANDA, KISKINDHA KANDA, SUNDARA KANDA, YUDHA KANDA and ANDUTTARA KANDA AND 500 CANTOS (sargas).

the Ramayan is not just an ordinary katha (story) it contains the teachings of ancient Hindu sages and presents them in narrative allegory with philosophical and the devotional elements interspersed. The characters Rama, Sita, LAKSHMANA, BHARATA, HANUMANA and Ravana are all fundamental to the cultural consciousness oF INDIA.

THE WORD RAMAYAN reveal A CONVERSATION BETWEEN A GURU (MASTER) AND A SHISHYA (STUDENT). ONCE SHISHYA SHARED HIS worry, WHICH he had been suffring SINCE AGES. SHISHYA ASKED HIS GURU IN tranquility. OH GURUDEV! I AM FACING A Plight “RAMAYAN”. HE SAID “RAMA-AYAN” (RAMA indicates MAYA AND THE SANSKRIT WORD AYAN symbolize HOME). HE WANTED TO convey THAT MAYA had MADE his HEART HER domicile. that is MAYA was haunting HIM AND deviating him FROM HIS REAL course OF composure, CONCIOUSNESs AND SPRITUALITY. IT iS JUST as if A SNAKE takes shelter in YOUR domicile, and u can never let your guard down owing to its existence in your house because of his PROVOKE. HE SAID HE HAd NO command Over HIS SENCES AS MAYA had come to take full supremacy ON THEM. A PANDEMIC DiSEAsE “MAYA” had seized HIM. HE IS ASKING FOR THE heal OF THIS UNremediable malady. THE GURU SMILED AND riposely answered with POLITEness to SOLVE THis obstacle OF his SHISHYA JUST IN ONE WORD, HE SAID OH! SHISHYA “RAMAYAN” HERE it states RAM+AYAN HE declare that invite RAM HE CAN dislodge SNAKE that is THE MAYA FROM YOUR HEART AND THeN OFFER YOUR HOME that is your HEART TO sri RAM, thus MAKing YOUR HEART THE abode OF sriRAM. THAT’S THE ONLY panacea.

“HRIDISTHAM KURU KESHAVAM”

OFFER YOUR HEART TO SRIRAM. MAKE YOUR HEART abode OF SRIRAM. BHAKTI IS THE ESSENCE Of ALL the SHASTRA’S

THE FIRST VERSE RECITED BY SRIPAD VALMIKI WHEN HE SAW A HUNTER KILLED A HEARTTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL BIRD.

MAA NISHAD PRATISTHAM TYAM GAMAH SASWATI CHAMA//

YAT KRONCH MITHUNA DEKH MAVADHI KAAM MOHITAM// (balakanda 2.14)

o hunter! since you killed one of the pair of krauncha birds in love, you shall never attain fame.

SPONTANEOUSLY MAHARISHI VALMIKI CHANTED THIS FRESH VERSE WITHOUT ANY PLAN AND EVEN HE WAS SURPRISED. since this verse was born of valmiki’s grief, it was called “shloka”. THAN BY THE INSPIRATION OF DEVARSHI NARADA MAHARISHI VALMIKI WROTE SRIMAD VALMIKI RAMAYAN.
